Who We Are
The Church is a collective of post-production specialists from the North East, based in Kingsland Church Studios, Newcastle.
We offer a post- production facility boasting DaVinci Resolve colour grading, offline / online editing , VFX and audio post-production including ADR, sound design, music composition mixing.
We also provide post for broadcast, streaming TV, Film and Games under one roof in the beautiful surroundings of Kingsland Church Studios in Byker.
Over the last year we’ve worked on RTS award winning and BAFTA nominated shows, whilst also being highly commended at the Makers and Shakers awards..
Personnel
James Baxter (Founder) is a highly accomplished CEO and Producer with a passion for creativity and excellence in the film industry.
Mark Lediard is an editor and colourist with over 25 years of experience in Commercials, Music Videos, TV and Film, and an RTS award winner for Excellence in Post Production in 2023. He was the editor on the Bafta nominated short 'Where It Ends’ for Tiger Aspect / BBC and the feature reggae music documentary, ‘Harder Than The Rock: The Cimarons Story’ which an official selection at Sheffield Documentary Festival 2024.
Ben Harrex is an offline editor and has completed award winning campaigns for brands such as AOL and T- Mobile. His notable early works include the Evian Roller babies and T-mobile flashmob campaign; 2 of many collaborations with director Michael Gracey. Ben also collaborated with RSA director Baillie Walsh to complete the Ridley Scott produced ‘Springsteen & I’, a feature length documentary.
Rich McCoull ( Co Founder) is a sound designer, composer and dubbing mixer with over 20 years experience in audio post for TV, film and video games and an RTS award winner for Professional Excellence in Sound in 2019.
David Scott is a veteran editor and colourist with a varied and highly respected career in Broadcast TV, documentaries and promos.
Nathan Burns is a seasoned dubbing mixer and sound designer boasting over 10 years of experience in audio post-production. Some of his credits include Academy Dreams (amazon), The Inheritance (Channel 5), Cooking with the Gills (Channel 5) and My First (CBeebies)
Graham Smith is a specialist in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Animation and Video for the past 20 years. Recent clients include ‘Audible’ and ‘Audible Originals’ motion creative identity work for TVC use. Kinetic typography for BT rebrand TVC in 2019 and content motion graphics for Asics 2020 campaigns
